Last week marked our very first time exhibiting at Taste of London.
To be honest, we arrived with curiosity — and no small amount of uncertainty. We weren’t just there to sell. We came to observe, to listen, and to learn.
But what we took away far exceeded our expectations.
🔥 Our newest release, Garlic Blend, along with freshly restocked favourites, sold out every single day.
🌶️ Fresh Qin Chilli Sauce held its ground as our all-time bestseller.
🌾 Meanwhile, Yo Po Chilli and Golden Drizzle — our award-winning take on crispy-style chilli — were slower burners. And that’s perfectly okay.
Introducing something truly original, especially a product that reflects the most authentic expression of chilli oil or chilli crisp (as we know it), takes time. In a market shaped by different naming conventions and flavour expectations, familiarity doesn’t come overnight. And that’s completely fair.
Because real customers have real taste.
They know what’s good — not because we say so, but because they feel it, taste it, and compare it.
💬 Along the way, we had a few unexpected and wonderful encounters — including the founder of a major food group who came back to order 10 jars of Garlic Blend for their kitchen, and several buyers from different sectors who showed genuine interest and support.
That kind of quiet recognition meant the world to us.
Were we exhausted? Absolutely.
Each day ended with sore feet, tired voices, and overwhelmed minds.
But we were also proud — deeply proud.
Because this journey is not just about growing a business.
It’s about learning to live, survive, and thrive in a new environment and culture.
It’s about discovering who we are — through food, through flavour, and through the people we meet.
This is more than just business.
This is the start of something bigger.
And we’re just getting started.
